A message from the Don

If you are receiving this message, it’s either because you owe me money and I’m attempting to lure you into a deadly trap, OR it’s because I (and the rest of my accordion funk band, SWNH) think you’re awesome and want to invite you to our quasi-secret show this Saturday evening at the Peacock Gold Lounge in the Lower Haight.  It has been over two years now, and we want to say thank you for all the love you have given us - whether that be in the form of supporting us at shows (which I can only describe as AA meetings which have gone horribly horribly right), continuing to speak to us/acknowledge us on the street regardless of having taken up playing accordions or keytars, or that thing you did to us that one time behind the Jack-In-The-Box.

The other cause for celebration is that it will be Mamma B’s birthday, who is the very special lady that birthed our very own Lusty B (see picture) - our bass guitar/ bass keytar/ and bass Unitar player (consequently, he is the only man in the world who plays the Unitar), whose knowledge is surpassed only by his facial hair and penchant for danger.

To show our love, we’ve rented out the Peacock Gold Lounge (552 Haight Street @ Fillmore) this coming Saturday night, April 18th, and are throwing a big bash.  It’s a private event, so the only way to get in is by giving the password at the door, which is: Erasmus (can I get a holler from all the Humanists out there? - read more).  The event is FREE, with doors opening at 9:00 PM.

Come stop by and let us make sweet musical love to you.  We also do regular love, but that requires an entirely different password, which I assure you has nothing to do with Humanism.  Also, it may or may not be a good idea to go ahead and learn this dance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyef-BItce8
