This is a unique experience - if you haven’t seen these guys play, you’re missing out. This show is the final show of Red Devil Lounge’s In “The Name Of Love” Concert Series. A portion of proceeds from the door goes to Doctors Without Borders to help earthquake victims in Haiti and Chile.

Mama B's Foolproof Brisket | The Desert Sun:

Happy Passover to everybody. This Saturday is your last chance to drink beer before Passover, so come party with us.

Get in the Holiday mood with some of Mama B’s nationally-recognized brisket. Here is the recipe. click the link for a full interview with Mama B.

Mama B’s Foolproof Brisket

Serves 6 to 8

3 to 4 pounds first cut brisket

11/2 packages Lipton onion soup mix

1 (14-ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce

3 tablespoons ketchup

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 garlic cloves, crushed

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a roasting pan with enough heavy duty aluminum foil to wrap up entire brisket. Put meat on foil fat side down.

Combine soup mix, cranberry sauce, ketchup, water, garlic powder and garlic cloves in a small bowl and pour over brisket. Fold aluminum over the brisket, sealing tightly so the sauce does not leak out. Bake 4 hours. Do not open foil during baking. Let cool. Place still wrapped meat in the refrigerator overnight.

Skim off fat and slice meat thinly across the grain, trimming off any excess fat. Reheat and serve with pan juices.

Note: Brisket can be frozen. Defrost and warm in the microwave or the oven.

3rd Anniversary Show - DRINK FOR AFRICA TONIGHT

Three years ago, two accordionists and a jumble of friends came together on Valentine’s Day to spread the singular message of Accordion Funk. Sex With No Hands was conceived that night, and the accordion has never been quite the same.

Its been a wild ride of polka, beer, friends, dancing, lifting heavy things, touring, tight pants, and more beer. Just like a Sex With No Hands show, its been an exhausting adventure that leaves you with a giant smile.

That’s why tonight is so special to us. We live to share our fun music with our friends, family and fans, and we are overjoyed to be celebrating three years of fun. Tonight is free, so everyone can join us in the celebration.

We’re also partying for a cause tonight. We’ve teamed up with FORGE, an Oakland-based nonprofit that supports over 50,000 refugees in Central Africa. A portion of every dollar spent at the bar will go towards helping this very worthy cause. Please consider drinking heavily tonight to help those in need.

Thanks again for all the amazing support over the past three years. Looking forward to many more!

Sweatband tonight! Come join the SWNH rhythm section in this live musical experiment. We’ll be performing some songs and jamming with 5 top SF funk bands. We’d played together last week and these are some amazing musicians. DJs, Singers, dancers, horns and a whole lot of sweat!
